Insurance Coverage at Achieve ABA

We've Got You Covered

Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive - and that includes having access to the therapy they need. Navigating insurance coverage can feel overwhelming, but we're here to make the process a breeze.

Eastpointe (now Trillium) insurance coverage for ABA therapy

At Achieve ABA, we know that insurance changes can feel overwhelming when your focus is on helping your child grow. If your family was previously covered under Eastpointe, you may have heard the news: Eastpointe officially merged with Trillium Health Resources in February 2024.

The good news is that ABA therapy remains a covered benefit under Medicaid, and families can continue services without interruption.

We’re here to guide you through the transition from Eastpointe to Trillium so your child can keep building the skills they need with ABA therapy—without added stress for your family.

Understanding Eastpointe's transition to Trillium

Eastpointe was one of North Carolina’s Local Management Entities/Managed Care Organizations (LME/MCOs), serving families with behavioral health and developmental support needs. As of February 2024, Eastpointe became part of Trillium Health Resources, which now manages services for a larger region across North Carolina.

For families this means:

Coverage continues: ABA therapy is still included under Medicaid through Trillium.

No need to restart: Services and prior authorizations carry over into the new system.

Continuity of care: Families can continue working with their current in-network ABA providers.

Support is still local: Trillium now serves your county in place of Eastpointe.

What Eastpointe (now Trillium) covers for ABA therapy

With the transition to Trillium, ABA therapy coverage remains available for children with an autism spectrum diagnosis when medically necessary. Families may be eligible for:

 Comprehensive autism and ABA assessments

 One-on-one ABA therapy sessions

Individualized treatment planning by a BCBA

 Parent and caregiver training

 Progress reviews and updated plans

Our team will work directly with Trillium to ensure your child’s services are approved and started quickly.

How to get started with ABA therapy through Trillium

If your coverage was with Eastpointe, you are now automatically part of Trillium’s network. Starting or continuing ABA therapy is simple:

1. Diagnosis – Your child must have an official autism diagnosis.

2. Assessment – Achieve ABA completes an ABA evaluation and treatment plan.

3. Authorization – We submit documentation to Trillium for approval.

4. Therapy Begins – Your child starts comprehensive ABA services with our supportive team.

We’ll handle the paperwork, authorizations, and communication with Trillium, so you can stay focused on your child.
